Unintended Consequences
  It was only 40 years ago,
Back in the age of the hippies when we were young.
The whole back to the land thing happened
And considering what happened, may things went a little wrong.

Unintended consequences now rule.

We have a spike in arm of gasoline,
Bailouts, mayhem and foreign wars;
Radically altered circumstances.
We hundreds of million of mopes on Facebook too
7billion people with some little hope*.
Dramatically realligned goals,

Unintended consequences rule.
Unintended consequences rule.

We ceded our privacy and lost our compassion,
Keeping the engines of industry humming.
But did we lose our soul?
250 million hedonists chasing the money mammon these days.

Unintended consequences rule.
